19: Some responses to Michigan endorsements: Eminent Domain and Affirmative Action.

I’ve been fortunate to receive several responses to my endorsements yesterday.

First, and most convincingly, my friend Thad from Flushing disagrees with me on Proposal 3. Here’s what he wrote:

I agree with you on most of your positions. The only exception is that I am a strong defender of eminent domain in certain cases, which in my opinion is the best tool for urban renewal availabe at the moment.

Jennifer M. Granholm and John D. Cherry, Jr.: Democratic Party

Granholm’s reliance upon Michigan’s diminishing industrial base is indeed troubling.

Today is All Souls Day.

Yesterday I said that if we wish to, we may consider the triumverate of Hallowe’en, All Saints Day, and All Souls Day, as devoted to hell, heaven, and purgatory, respectively. I’m sure that you’ve, in one way or another, have sensed this thing that I’m talking about.
