Picking up the pace a little…

Our schedule was tight enough that we’d have to get most of our visiting done the next day. We rode out to the Colony Square Mall and picked me up a tie and dress shirt for the occassion.

The feeling that Thursday morning was more than a little weird. Ever since the morning after Colin and Nora’s wedding, and more strongly after leaving Hyde Park, I had a weird sensation of waiting for the other shoe to drop.

I’m kind of in a Shandyesque problem here… I’m getting caught up more slowly then the events actually happened. If I don’t pick up the past of posting and whatnot, then I’ll just fall progressively further behind. Some infinities are larger than others.

The Silurians is in a sort of ascendence, in that it feels the most powerful, the most interesting and relevant right now. I’m still trying to finish the fifth revision of Hungry Rats, but I’m finding it very hard to concentrate.

So I finally decided to not attend the final commencement ceremony at the New School tonight.

It’s a complicated story, not very interesting in the details, but maybe I can sum it up in a reflective sort of way, and maybe even make a useful point at the end.
